Tucked atop the North Mountain, near Morden, Nova Scotia lies Salt+Sickle Homestead.
As the sweet sea winds of the Bay of Fundy float across the bluest skies, a diverse ecosystem of plants, animals, insects and fungi thrive and co-exist.
This ecosystem serves as a holistic model for how Salt+Sickle Homestead envisions and interacts with the surrounding environment: through relationship we are interconnected and thrive best when allowed to bring our ultimate strengths and diversity together within community.
The journey to officially becoming Salt+Sickle Homestead has been a long one. After years of searching for property,
MC Pace (they/them), Sole Proprietor of Salt+Sickle Homestead and their Partner Mike Pace (he/him) found something the lands of Unceded Mi’kima’ki - a 130 year-old farm house close to the ocean; backing on to endless forest trails; with fertile earth and strong local community engagement.
Finally, the venture could begin.

Seeking to create something far from “business as usual” the aim of Salt+Sickle Homestead is longevity, sustainability, community collaboration and mutual communal benefit.
